Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information yrdgo collects, how it is used, what becomes public when a listing is published, how abuse-prevention data is handled, and what choices users have.

Last updated March 31, 2026

Information we collect

We collect information you choose to provide, information needed to operate the marketplace, and limited technical information about how the site is used.

  • Account information, such as your email address and profile details.
  • Listing information, such as titles, descriptions, photos, tags, sale dates, and location details.
  • Saved listing activity, seller contact interactions, reports, and other marketplace actions tied to your account.
  • Technical data such as browser type, approximate device information, log data, and preferences needed to keep the site working.

Operational and abuse-prevention data

To keep the marketplace reliable and reduce misuse, we may collect and evaluate request metadata and related operational signals.

  • IP address, request timing, approximate location, and device or browser characteristics used for security, rate limiting, fraud prevention, and debugging.
  • Signals tied to suspicious automation, scraping, repeated abuse, or attempts to bypass restrictions.
  • Records related to reports, moderation actions, account access issues, and enforcement decisions.

How we use information

  • To create, publish, display, and manage yard sale listings.
  • To support sign-in, saved listings, seller pages, analytics, and core marketplace features.
  • To moderate content, investigate abuse, prevent fraud, and enforce site rules.
  • To improve search, maps, listing quality, overall site performance, and understand aggregate site usage.

What becomes public when you publish

When a seller publishes a listing, that listing is intended to be publicly visible. Public listing content may include the listing title, description, photos, sale dates or times, tags, seller display information, and the address or map location shown on the listing page.

Public listing pages may be indexed by search engines, previewed in shared links, cached by third parties, or copied by other people outside our control. Removing a listing from yrdgo may not immediately remove copied or cached versions that exist elsewhere.

Saved listings, account settings, private account data, and internal moderation or reporting records are not displayed publicly by default.

How we share information

We do not treat personal information as public unless it is part of a listing or seller profile that you choose to publish. We may share information in the following situations:

  • With service providers or infrastructure vendors that help us host, secure, and operate yrdgo.
  • When a published listing or seller page is publicly viewable or shared by users.
  • When required to comply with law, legal process, or a valid governmental request.
  • When necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, spam, or safety issues affecting the marketplace.

Cookies and similar storage

yrdgo uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, support security, and maintain core marketplace functionality. For more detail, see the Cookies page.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as it is reasonably needed to operate the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce site rules, and meet legal obligations. Public listing content may remain available after a sale ends unless it is removed or archived.

Security logs, abuse-prevention records, and moderation history may be retained for longer when reasonably necessary to investigate incidents, prevent repeated abuse, or comply with legal obligations.

Your choices

  • You can edit or remove listing information from your account, subject to any legal or operational retention needs.
  • You can manage certain browser-level cookie controls directly in your browser settings.
  • You can request account-related help or privacy-related review by emailing yrdgoapp@gmail.com.

Privacy-related questions can be sent to yrdgoapp@gmail.com.

Children

yrdgo is not intended for young children. If we learn that personal information was collected from a child in a way that violates applicable law, we may remove that information and restrict the related account.

Policy changes

We may update this policy as the marketplace changes. If we make material updates, we may revise the date on this page and take additional steps when appropriate.
